Two-person delivery specialist Panther Logistics has invested in 35 new trucks as part of its continuing growth plans.
Panther, based in Northampton, will replace part of its fleet with MAN’s award-winning TGX model –– as well as 20 new trailers.
The vehicles, which are all DVS compliant, are fitted with five cameras for added safety, driver visibility and incident management.
The TGX, winner of International Truck of the Year 2021, boasts economical engines, improved aerodynamics, GPS-supported cruise control, and many other efficiency-enhancing innovations that allow fuel savings of up to 3.7%.
The new vehicles have been provided by MAN in Northampton, the latest transaction in a strong long-term relationship between the two firms.
Panther’s Logistics Director Guy Burgess said:
“This significant investment demonstrates how dedicated Panther is to growth and delivering our customers the best service in the sector.
“It will also deliver significant cost savings and efficiency thanks to MAN’s market-leading fuel economy.”
The trucks will feature new livery that includes branding for AIT Worldwide Logistics, the global transportation leader that acquired Panther Warehousing last year.
These new trucks will help Panther cement its position as the leader in specialist two-person delivery.
Panther Logistics has grown year on year since it decided to bring next-day delivery to the two-man, white-glove, bulky item sector. The company employs more than 500 people and covers the UK from nine regional hubs.
