Panther Logistics Climbs to New Heights with Latest Contract Win

Online bathroom retailer Bathroom Mountain enters into three-year contract with market leading two-person delivery specialist.

AIT Worldwide Logistics company, Panther Logistics is climbing to new heights with its latest contract win which is its biggest this year.

Online bathroom retail sensation Bathroom Mountain has made a strategic move to change its delivery model from being pallet-based to two-person delivery. The contract commenced on the 29th April following a successful three-month trial.

Set to be a game changer in the industry, it was a huge leap of faith and one which was influenced by Panther’s reputation in the marketplace as a premium two-person delivery partner.

Whilst it necessitated a huge change of process in Bathroom Mountain’s Stoke on Trent-based 95,000 sq ft warehouse, the partnership has already optimised the company’s operations and generated huge efficiencies in terms of creating greater resource, reducing packaging, reduced damages and crucially an overall improvement in service. Productivity has also increased with orders being able to be processed more quickly.

Under the terms of the contract Panther collects directly from Bathroom Mountain, consolidating deliveries where necessary, for delivery direct to the customer.
Bathroom Mountain customers are now able to take advantage of Panther’s unique range of services which includes nominated day delivery five days a week, with a two hour-delivery slot, room of choice and removal of all packaging.

Bathroom Mountain took the industry by storm with its launch just four years ago by visionary entrepreneur Shamila Iqbal then just 24. Established during the pandemic, the business has since gone from strength to strength becoming a major disrupter within the sector.

The forward-thinking business provides everything a customer needs for their bathroom – from baths, sinks and showers to radiators, taps and accessories including cabinets and mirrors. It is a product range which is continuing to grow demonstrating the company’s ambition in catering to the evolving needs of their customers while maintaining their competitive edge in the market.

Sharing Panther’s ethos that the ‘customer is king’, Bathroom Mountain’s Co-Founder and Director Shamila Iqbal is excited about the future seeing the partnership as both redefining customer experience in the online retail sector and providing a springboard for further growth.

She commented:

“As a business we are incredibly ambitious, however our focus has always been on our customers which are the very core of the business.
“From a delivery perspective the bathroom sector is challenging with multiple SKU’s forming part of each order. Panther’s involvement has taken our service offering to the next level ensuring our customers receive their orders on a day and room of their choice.

“The move to two-person delivery is a game changer for our business as well as our customers and is already paying significant dividends which is great. Also dealing with the Panther team is like a breath of fresh air. They are flexible in their approach, highly communicative and have gone above and beyond since day one to ensure that our customers receive the best final mile delivery experience in the industry.”

Samuel Scott, Panther’s Sales Director is also looking forward to developing the new relationship. He said:

“Working in partnership with our customers is part of our DNA.

“Bathroom Mountain is an incredibly exciting business and we are confident that by moving to a two-person delivery model they will be able to further scale up their operations.

“What Shamila and her team have achieved in such a short space of time is amazing and we are looking forward to supporting them on their journey with exceptional levels of customer service providing them with an even greater competitive edge.”
